Europacorp.

In September 2000 French Director Luc Besson and French Producer and former Distributor Pierre-Ange Le Pogam founded a production company called EuropaCorp. Before their major successes with films like SubwayThe Big BlueNikitaLéon and The Fifth Element their vision was simple yet ambitious. Luc and Pierre wanted to make the kind of films they had grown up loving, whether those be Hollywood-style genre films or indie films. Today Europacorp has 120 permanent staff members, a post-production facility called Digital Factory which is based in a 17th-century chateau with it’s own private forest, releases 8 to 12 films a year and a €19.6 million Net profit in 2013. Next to that EuropaCorp recently joined the Cité du Cinéma studio complex just outside Paris. This brand new movie studio complex with a total of 9 film stages is currently the biggest movie studio in Europe. Now their 129th Feature film, Luc Besson’s "Lucy"with Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman will hit theaters on August 2014…I can just say….guys keep up the good work and don’t forget to slide in Francophone cinema d’auteur once a while….
