Spain.

With Spain asking for a 100 billion euro bailout for their banks this weekend at the Eurogroup (group of finance ministers of the 17-country eurozone), this incredible strong news report from the Dutch NOS news program was shown last night. Spain became the fourth, and largest of the 17 countries that uses the Euro currency to request a bailout. A big blow to a nation that a few years ago took pride as the continent’s economic superstar only to see it become the hot spot in the eurozone debt crisis. Its economy was the eurozone’s fourth largest after Germany, France and Italy. Don’t forget that with this bailout the state’s debt will rise as a result. And that Spain’s economy is still shrinking and the government will lose all credibility. Spain may yet require a full bailout after this one. That would really test the Euro currency. FACTS: More then a million Spaniards are already using the Red Cross food aid program. At the photo you see a wealthy suburb of Madrid called Tres Cantos. The Elderly, Children and an incredible large growing group of young unemployed are all asking for help. The scariest fact of them all is that already more then 25% of the Spanish population is living below the poverty line. Oooh, no worries at all…Brussels and Europe will worried about this again after the Final game of Euro2012. A true wake call for all Europeans!
