“Beauty and seduction, I believe, is nature’s tool for survival, because we will protect what we fall in love with.”

That’s a quote coming from American filmmaker and award-winning cinematographer Louie Schwartzberg. Schwartzberg gave one of the most popular TEDxSF talks back in 2011. With an astonishing 2 million views Schwartzberg educated us again on the almost hidden beauty of pollinators and the importance of pollination in general. After the succes of his talk Schwartzberg founded the company Moving Art. MOVING ART is basically the world’s first collection of groundbreaking 2D and 3D moving images created specifically as experiential entertainment or fine art for display on digital screens, ranging from large-format monitors to mobile phones. Have a look a the following TedSF talk (VIDEO) or watch an excerpt here (VIDEO) of his upcoming DisneyNature production called “Wings of Life”. This excerpt reached more then 25 million people on Youtube. Wings of lifewill deal with the threat to essential pollinators that produce over a third of the food we eat. Through Louis Schwartzberg’s lens you will see the world a little bit different: “His stunning time-lapse photography, accompanied by powerful words at the end from Benedictine monk David Steindl-Rast, almost serves as a meditation on being grateful for every day.” (VIDEO) Enjoy!
