“ I find that some of the people I shoot in my African adventures are the true celebrities’.

On Sept. 17 American singer-songwriter Frank Ocean released the official music video for his song "Pyramids” on his VEVO YouTube channel. The song “Pyramids” is the second single from Ocean’s debut studio album, “Channel Orange”. The album was released on July 10, 2012 via Def Jam and it debuted at No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. After seeing the video I was mesmerized by it’s originality, sophisticatedness and unique visual feel (trip) of it. (VIMEO) I decided to dig deeper for it’s founding. The sublime Director’s name I found was Nabil Elderkin. Nabil was born in Chicago and raised in Australia. Nabil began his photography career when he picked up a camera to shoot portraits of fellow surfers. What started as a hobby, rapidly developed into a working career. From surf portraits, Nabil began shooting action sports and musicians. In 1999, Nabil moved to Chicago to continue and expand his career. Today, Nabil lives and works in Los Angeles at his studio in Downtown. At a certain point he started directing Music Video’s!! Well… I thank him for it!
