“Science reveals that all life on Earth is one.” (Television series)

“Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey,” the reboot of the classic science TV series helmed by Carl Sagan that aired in 1980 (Youtube – 13 Ep.) is a simple definite one-to-watch for all of us. The show is presented by the current most visible American astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson (Discover Magazine – “50 Best Brains in Science”) , who was inspired by Sagan as a young college student. Executive produced by Family Guy’s creator Seth MacFarlane, whose clout and financial investment were instrumental in bringing the show to broadcast television, and Ann Druyan, Sagan’s widow and a co-creator of the original series. Premise: the series loosely follows the same thirteen-episode format and storytelling approach that the original Cosmos used, including elements such as the “Ship of the Imagination”, but features information updated since the 1980 series along with extensive computer-generated graphics and animation footage augmenting the narration. Within each episode truly are historical reenactments that are being depicted in 2D Animation and all Character Art Direction, 2D Animation and Effects for all 2D segments were done by 6PH. Anywhere from 2.5 –27 minutes of animation in any given episode. About 132 minutes total over 13 episodes. The Title Sequence above was created by BBDGShaun Collings and Curtis Doss.
