“Silky subtlety that is far beyond any HD camera” (VIDEO)

Wanted to share the top three finalists of the NAB 2012 Red 4K Portrait Competition. Click here (NAB Videos) for all three finalists. All of which are stunning of course and show the possibilities of 4K red One Camera. But I must say It still does not yet match the quality and dynamic range of 35mm film, but it’s awfully close. The 1st winner was a short called Escape by a new talent called Kenny Mosher. It has some beautifully composed shots at great camera angles, matched with a unique color tone and a perfectly fitted scored audio. Also focus on the incredible use of slow motion. To get this kind of camera movement and to still make it feel normal in slow motion is extraordinary. They must have sped it up significantly in real time.
