Sundance 2012. 

With the 2012 Sundance Closing Night Awards taking place last night in Park City, Utah we have great winners with “The House I live in”, “Beasts of the Southern Wild”, “The invisible War”, “The Queen of Versailles”, “5 broken camera’s”, “Safety not guaranteed”, “DETROPIA”, “Indie Game:The Movie”, “My Brother the devil”, “Chasing Ice”, “Robots of Brixton” and “Putin’s Kiss” it looks like we are going to have a phenomenal documentary year ahead of us. The buzz at Sundance 2012 was the feature film “Robot and Frank”. "Probably The Best Human-Robot Buddy Movie Ever Made". Even though the nominated “Big Boys gone Bananas" didn’t win ‘The Grand Jury Prize’ I feel this particular film is not only important to the documentary genre, but also to films in general which are trying to make a difference.
