7 Billion and Counting

Global population trends result from varying levels of population growth and decline among countries. The video above provides us with a simple and compelling overview of population trends that have lead according to the United Nations to 7 Billion people on October 31, 2011. Nearly all future population growth will be in the world’s less developed countries, and the poorest of these countries will see the greatest percentage increase.
