One person can do unbelievable things. All it takes is that one person who’s willing to risk everything to make it happen.”

If you would drop the name Sam Childers in any group conversation to friends, family members, colleagues etc, 90% will react and say: who? Exactly. Well let’s change that. I already wrote about Mr. Childers two years ago on this blog but I am doing it again…….Sam Childers born in 1962 in Grand Forks, North Dakota is basically a drug-dealer-turned-preacher-turned-rescuer-of-orphans-in-africa….. Yes, It’s all true. And you can disagree with Mr. Childers methods, but he is simply protecting those kids right now and he’s doing it his way. This all reminded me from the speech from Robert F. Kennedy at the University of Cape Town, South Africa N.U.S.A.S. "Day of Affirmation” Speech June 6th in 1966; —WATCH HERE(excerpt) “Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.” Mr. Childers seriously now dedicates his life and resources to rescue children in the war zone of South Sudan. Childers and his wife Lynn founded and operate Angels of East Africa, the Children’s Village Orphanage in NimuleSudan, where they currently have more than 300 children in their care. If you like what your reading here I recommend the feature film “Machine Gun Preacher” (NETFLIX STREAM+ RENT), the documentary and the book “Another Man’s war”. (Golden Globes, 2012, Nominated Golden Globe Best Original Song – Motion Picture Chris Cornell (music and lyrics by) For the song “The Keeper”—WATCH HERE-–Yes, I know the working title of the film sounds like a B-movie but it’s actually Childers’ nickname. Writer Jason Keller worked on the feature film script for four years cause he had to win the trust of Sam. Not an easy task apparently. And Actor Gerard Butler worked on the film for one-thirtieth of his normal rate. Keep going strong Sam! Photo credit: Sam Childers A-one-watch+follow!
